Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and other cath lab cases, ensuring sterile technique and procedural efficiency
• Monitor patients intra-procedure using MacLab and other monitoring systems and promptly communicate changes to the team
• Operate and support interventional imaging equipment such as GE X-ray systems and assist with device-assisted procedures (Impella, IABP)
• Support advanced cath lab procedures including atherectomy, IVUS/OCT and physiologic measurements like FFR/RFR
• Document case details accurately in MacLab and facility EMR (Meditech) to maintain high-quality patient records
• Respond to STEMI and emergent activations as part of the on-call team with calm, decisive action
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians and techs to deliver safe, patient-centered care and smooth room turnover

Qualifications

• ARRT or RCIS certification required (candidates must have cath lab experience)
• RT or RCIS credential with demonstrated ability to scrub and/or scrub and monitor cath lab cases
• ACLS and BLS required and up-to-date
• Minimum 1 year of relevant cath lab or interventional tech experience
• Familiarity with MacLab and Meditech charting preferred
• Comfortable with STEMI call and emergent procedure support

Education

• ARRT or RCIS certification (required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization and cath lab procedures
• Scrubbing techniques and intra-procedure monitoring
• Experience with interventional imaging equipment (GE X-ray systems)
• Familiarity with devices and procedures: Impella, IABP, atherectomy, IVUS, OCT, FFR, RFR
• Proficient documentation in MacLab and Meditech
• Strong teamwork, communication and ability to 'go with the flow' in a fast-paced procedural environment
