Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and sonographic examinations across the lifespan for accurate interpretation
• Provide comprehensive mammography services including screening, diagnostic, specimen radiography and stereotactic breast biopsy assistance
• Operate CT equipment and assist with interventional procedures, including setup and running automatic injectors
• Maintain and own quality assurance/quality control programs and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation for ACR/FDA mammography requirements
• Adapt imaging protocols for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Assist with invasive procedures, sterile technique, venipuncture and supply inventory management
• Participate in tele-radiology transmission and collaborate with referring physicians for optimal patient outcomes
• Rotate shifts, respond to on-call assignments promptly, and step into supervisory responsibilities when needed

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) required within 45 days of start
• Clinical Competency Assessment (SEARHC) required within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modalities (mammography, CT, radiography and related modalities)
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and report to work within 20 minutes when required
• Comfortable learning and maintaining competency in additional modalities (US, MRI, NM) as needed
• Experience with quality assurance programs and radiation protection principles

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical Competency Assessment (SEARHC) to be completed within 3 months
• BLS (AHA) certification required within 45 days

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care across the lifespan with sensitivity to cultural and religious diversity
• Diagnostic medical radiography and sonography techniques
• Mammography-specific skills: screening, diagnostic, specimen radiography and stereotactic biopsy support
• CT imaging, contrast management and automatic injector use
• Radiation protection and safety principles
• Quality assurance program participation and record maintenance
• Tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique competency
• Ability to adapt protocols for different age groups and clinical scenarios
