Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images with patient safety as the top priority
• Perform MRI procedures in accordance with protocols and physician orders
• Screen and prepare patients for MRI exams, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the process
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech and ensure imaging records are complete and compliant
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and nursing staff to provide efficient patient care
• Participate in rotating call, holiday coverage and hurricane response teams as required
• Ensure proper use and basic troubleshooting of GE MRI equipment and escalate technical issues when needed

Qualifications

• ARRT (MRI) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience as noted in the posting
• Experience with GE MRI equipment preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system preferred
• Comfort working night shifts, rotating schedules and participation in on-call/hurricane teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in MRI safety screening and patient positioning
• Skilled at operating GE MRI systems and performing routine quality checks
• Strong documentation skills in electronic medical record systems (Meditech)
• Solid patient communication and bedside manner
• Ability to function well on a multidisciplinary team and during high-acuity situations
• Basic troubleshooting skills for imaging equipment and workflows
