Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and direct pharmacy operations across assigned sites, ensuring high-quality, safe medication use
• Collaborate with system pharmacy leadership to analyze issues, develop solutions, and drive operational planning
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality assurance measures that meet regulatory standards
• Manage staffing functions including hiring, staff development, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
• Oversee financial and operational targets by monitoring budgets, productivity, and inventory control
• Partner with information systems to optimize pharmacy information management and charging systems
• Represent pharmacy on interdisciplinary committees (P&T, Safety, Patient Medication Safety, Information Systems) to influence system-wide initiatives
• Act as a resource and mentor to pharmacy staff, stepping in to perform managerial duties as needed

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited college or university
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience
• Active Illinois pharmacist license (required)
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a health-system pharmacy setting
• Proven experience in policy and procedure development, quality assurance, and performance management
• Comfort leading committees and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership capability

Education

• PharmD from an accredited college or university
• ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration preferred or equivalent work experience
