Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise imaging staff — mentor Lead and Senior Technologists and support a high-performing technical team
- Manage day-to-day staffing to meet productivity targets and maintain efficient patient flow
- Ensure image quality control and enforce departmental policies and best practices
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22)
- Collaborate with nursing, clerical teams and service engineers to coordinate imaging services
- Provide direct patient diagnostic procedures and education to patients, families, students and staff as needed
- Assess departmental performance, research interdepartmental issues, and implement timely corrective actions
- Support staff development, performance evaluations and progressive discipline when appropriate
Qualifications
- Current California Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) or ARRT license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum five years experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist in an acute-care setting
- At least two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting (3–5 years supervisory/managerial preferred)
- Associate degree required
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Preferred: certification in a specialized area (NMT, MRI, etc.)
Education
- Associate Degree (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven knowledge of image quality control, radiation protection and radiobiology
- Familiarity with Joint Commission, ACR, Title 17 & 22 regulatory requirements
- Strong skills in quality assurance, performance improvement and regulatory compliance
- Ability to supervise, delegate, motivate and develop technical staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient-centered care and interdepartmental collaboration
- Competency in clinical imaging techniques, positioning and radiographic exposure principles
