Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate patient flow across the hospital to ensure timely admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Provide direction and guidance to nursing staff on policies, procedures, and clinical decision making
• Assign and optimize nursing resources, acting as a resource nurse when needed
• Collaborate closely with charge nurses, clinical staff, and the Chief Nursing Officer to resolve issues
• Coach and mentor staff, monitor productivity, and provide constructive feedback
• Respond to patient and family concerns with empathy and clear communication
• Oversee care for critically ill patients, including those on ventilators and with invasive lines
• Ensure safe use of advanced equipment such as A-lines, chest tubes, and multiple IV pumps

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Montana (required)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a hospital setting, recent ICU experience preferred
• Current CPR required
• ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Experience with ventilator support, cardiac monitoring, and care across the lifespan
• Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and strong communication skills

Education

• Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced nursing principles and post-operative/medical patient care
• Cardiac monitoring and management of invasive lines
• Patient flow management and resource allocation
• Proficiency with multiple IV pumps and advanced medical equipment
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service orientation
• Ability to initiate and develop projects and handle a busy workload
