Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; rotating nights including weekends (staff required to work 6 weekend days per schedule)
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality oncology nursing care to adults on the Oncology/Women's Surgical unit
- Administer medications and support treatments safely, following hospital protocols and using Cerner EMR
- Perform and assist with occasional procedures such as pelvic exams, echos, and thoracentesis when needed
- Assess patients regularly, monitor changes, and escalate concerns to the care team
- Provide patient and family education about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and maintain appropriate patient ratios
- Support unit guidelines, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to a positive team culture
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (as listed)
- Chemo certification preferred but not required
- Comfortable working with Cerner EMR
- Experience or willingness to perform occasional pelvic exams, echos, and thoracentesis is a plus
- Team-player attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced unit
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong oncology nursing knowledge and patient assessment skills
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system
- Ability to safely administer and monitor infusions and oncology treatments
- Clinical skills for supporting occasional procedures (echo, thoracentesis, pelvic exams)
- Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and prioritization in a 1:4 or 1:5 patient ratio setting
