Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents of the skilled nursing facility
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per facility policy
• Assess residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the care team
• Document care, interventions, and observations clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and providers to coordinate person-centered care
• Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident independence
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — eligible to practice in New Mexico
• Previous LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Active, clear nursing license and ability to pass required background checks
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented approach to resident care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Comfortable with resident assessments, charting, and care planning
• Good communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and handle a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with long-term care standards, infection control, and safety protocols
