Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality X-ray and CT scans with attention to patient safety and imaging protocols
- Prepare and position patients properly to ensure accurate diagnostic images
- Use sound judgment to assess patient needs and respond with compassionate care
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, following safety and infection-control procedures
- Communicate clearly with patients and the care team to explain procedures and ensure comfort
- Document imaging procedures and patient information accurately in basic computer systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to support diagnosis and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology
- Illinois Radiologic Technologist license (required)
- CRP Certification (as listed in the job posting)
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to use sound judgment in patient care
- Comfort following and applying simple one- or two-step instructions
Education
- Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with X-ray imaging and CT procedures
- Fundamental knowledge of radiological technology and patient positioning
- Familiarity with basic computer systems for documentation
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients and staff
- Basic math skills for measurement and dose calculations
- Strong focus on patient safety, infection control, and imaging quality
