Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients across the lifespan — from pediatrics to geriatrics — with compassion and clinical accuracy
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and interventions that improve outcomes
- Provide emergency and medical-surgical nursing care in a Critical Access Hospital setting
- Triage and prioritize patients effectively during busy night shifts
- Document care thoroughly and accurately in EPIC (EPIC experience required)
- Function independently on assigned unit(s) while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
- Adapt quickly and wear many hats — support multiple unit needs as patient volumes require
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential — professional and confident in independent practice
- Experience in Emergency Department (ED/ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing
- Experience in or comfort working in a Critical Access Hospital environment
- Proven ability to care for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics
- EPIC experience is required — you should be comfortable charting and navigating workflows in EPIC
- Ability to work nights and to adapt to varying unit needs and multi-unit assignments
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical evaluation across age groups
- Care planning and clinical intervention skills
- Triage and prioritization under pressure
- Independent clinical decision-making and time management
- Familiarity with EPIC clinical documentation and workflows
- Flexibility to support multiple units and changing patient needs
