Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic CT procedures using independent judgment and prescribed CT techniques
- Administer contrast media safely and document contrast injection procedures
- Obtain and manage intravenous access for CT exams
- Operate and optimize CT equipment, including GE scanners when required
- Use EPIC EMR to accurately document exams, patient history, and imaging results
- Prioritize and organize daily workflow to ensure timely, high-quality patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients and the care team, using verbal de-escalation techniques when needed
- Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and state licensing requirements at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience (required)
- ARRT certification in CT required
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required — please note this on submission to avoid delays
- Contrast injection and IV access experience required
- Previous or current travel experience strongly encouraged
- GE scanner experience preferred
- Ability to pass a 14-panel drug screen and comply with facility onboarding trainings
- Traveler must have a personal vehicle and a permanent address outside the listed restricted counties
Education
- ARRT (CT) certification and current New York State Radiologic Technologist License required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- CT imaging principles and diagnostic CT procedures
- Safe contrast administration and IV access techniques
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record systems
- Familiarity with GE CT scanners (preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills and accurate documentation practices
- Verbal de-escalation training such as Welle, CPI, or PMCS
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a steady workflow
