Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform safe, patient-centered care in the cardiac catheterization lab, monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members to support efficient procedural flow and positive outcomes
- Assess and communicate changes in patient condition promptly, initiating appropriate interventions
- Prepare and maintain sterile procedural environments and ensure equipment readiness
- Provide education and compassionate support to patients and families about procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to continually enhance care delivery
Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required at time of submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS required
- AHA ACLS required
- Verification of high school diploma or equivalent (required due to CAP moderate complexity testing rules)
- Preferred: One year of experience or training in a Cath Lab/Angio hospital setting
- Able to work day shifts and occasional weekends with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (verification required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional radiology workflow
- Ability to monitor hemodynamics and recognize cardiac/respiratory changes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural setting
- Proficient with sterile technique, procedural documentation, and equipment checks
- Comfortable providing patient education and emotional support during procedural care
