Shift Type: Per Diem (varies as scheduled), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, promoting comfort and dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfer and ambulation practices, using proper body mechanics
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
- Engage residents with respectful communication and person-centered interactions
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) — you know your GNA skills and can show it
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Active/state nurse aide listing or registry in Maryland (required or must be able to obtain)
- Comfortable working with geriatric populations and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, professional, and able to follow facility policies and care plans
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is preferred but new grads with strong GNA skills are encouraged to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Graduation from an accredited GNA program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care techniques for geriatrics, including safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Clear and compassionate communication with residents, families, and team members
- Basic infection control and hygiene practices
- Accurate documentation and charting habits
- Ability to follow care plans and report observations effectively
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
