Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-family centered emergency care with clinical confidence
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team
• Document clinical care accurately and timely using electronic systems
• Act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations to stabilize and manage patients
• Function independently while collaborating with physicians, techs, and support staff
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to be licensed in Maine
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing or acute care settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to function independently and respond quickly in emergencies
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-family centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• ED nursing best practices and emergency response
• Patient assessment and triage
• Clinical documentation and electronic charting
• Professional, clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently during high-acuity shifts
• Comfort working 12-hour night shift patterns
