Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor residents' condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support mobility and fall-prevention measures to keep residents safe
- Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming respectfully
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team and families
- Help create a warm, social environment that supports resident dignity and independence
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working with older adults and supporting their physical and emotional needs
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow care plans and facility protocols
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- GNA certification required; CNA credentials accepted where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and infection control
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
- Ability to safely assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility aids
- Familiarity with documentation practices and charting care activities
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction from nursing staff
