Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
- Perform regular assessments and promptly report changes in resident condition
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with facility standards
- Support a positive, safe environment for residents and their families
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (preferred or required per facility)
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Education
- LPN diploma or equivalent from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medication administration and infection control practices
- Ability to perform vital signs, wound care, and basic nursing procedures
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems and care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
