Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, making each person feel seen and respected
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor resident condition, record vital signs, and report changes promptly
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the charting system to support continuity of care
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
- Follow infection prevention protocols and maintain a safe care environment
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Education
- LPN diploma or certificate from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Clinical assessment skills including vital signs and basic wound care
- Familiarity with electronic health record charting and care plans
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Effective teamwork, time management, and prioritization
