Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
• Provide compassionate personal care and comfort under the direction of RN or LVN
• Support safe and clean living environments for residents through routine care and housekeeping assistance
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to RN or LVN promptly and accurately
• Document care and resident interactions using basic computer systems and facility forms
• Collaborate professionally with nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and independence while delivering hands-on support

Qualifications

• Current CALIFORNIA CNA certificate (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Skilled nursing experience required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
• Basic computer skills for charting and documentation
• Availability for weekend shifts and an open schedule

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Resident care and activities of daily living (ADL) assistance
• Personal care techniques and maintaining resident comfort
• Basic clinical observation and safe reporting practices
• Infection control, safety, and maintaining a clean environment
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and charting
• Strong interpersonal skills, tact, and respectful communication
• Teamwork and collaboration with RN/LVN-led care plans
