Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub for surgical procedures and maintain strict aseptic technique to maximize patient safety
- Prepare and assure completion of case carts in accordance with preference cards
- Recognize and interpret preference cards to procure the right instruments and supplies for each case
- Communicate clearly with OR staff and sterile processing to coordinate instrumentation throughout the day
- Review daily schedules with charge nurse and SPD coordinator to identify potential turnover delays
- Manage core communications, delegate duties as needed, and coordinate breaks and lunches
- Serve as a resource for SPD and Surgical Services for supply and instrumentation procurement
- Coordinate with materials management regarding supply utilization and deployment
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (required)
- American Heart Association BLS (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent military surgical technologist program
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience functioning as an OR scrub and familiarity with sterile processing, instrumentation, and case cart management
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (or military equivalent); High School Diploma or Equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in surgical technique and human anatomy
- Proven skills in surgical instrumentation and sterile processing
- Comfort with preference cards and case cart management
- Strong communication and coordination skills with OR and SPD teams
- Familiarity with materials management and supply procurement
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage turnover demands
