Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day/evening shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, respectful personal care to geriatric residents to promote dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care accurately and courteously in resident charts and care logs
- Work collaboratively with the care team to create a warm, home-like environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
- CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatrics is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward older adults
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with resident care (lifting, standing, assisting)
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Basic infection control practices and safe hygiene techniques
- Familiarity with resident-centered care and dignity-focused assistance
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Teamwork mindset and effective communication with residents and staff
