Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe bedside care to assigned patients and prioritize their comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Perform routine nursing tasks such as vital signs, wound care, and basic procedures
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses clearly in the electronic chart
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to educate and provide reassurance
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility policies to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — North Carolina licensure preferred or eligible
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
• Strong communication skills, dependable attendance, and professionalism
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medication administration and basic pharmacology
• Proficiency in taking and interpreting vital signs and patient assessments
• Comfortable with wound care and routine nursing procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time during busy shifts, and work as part of a team
• Compassionate patient interaction and clear communication with families and staff
