Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess residents thoroughly and create clear, person-centered plans of care
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to ensure excellent clinical outcomes
• Manage the care environment to protect resident safety and well-being
• Supervise and mentor nursing assistants to maintain high-quality bedside care
• Follow state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies to ensure compliance
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and mentorship aligned to the Villa Way of Kindness
• Apply JCAHO standards where applicable to uphold clinical quality and safety

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of combined SNF/LTC and Med-Surg nursing experience
• BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (copy required)
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case
• Ability to complete and maintain an active MI iCHAT account and be authorized for fingerprinting
• Strong ability to thrive in a high-paced, high-stress environment and provide leadership on shift
• References highly preferred and may be required during onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and development of effective care plans
• Experienced in plan of care evaluation and documentation
• Resident and patient safety management expertise
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor nursing assistants
• Familiarity with JCAHO standards and regulatory expectations
• Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Comfort working in fast-paced settings and adapting to variable schedules
