Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene to preserve dignity
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Document care and resident status in the chart clearly and promptly
- Communicate with team members and families to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Valid state authorization to practice as a CNA in North Carolina
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation is a plus
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and ability to work as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Comfort with basic charting and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Good teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills
