Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care and rapid assessment to stabilize patients
• Triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER setting to improve patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document patient care thoroughly using Meditech 6.0 and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to coordinate timely interventions
• Respond to 24-hour call duties when scheduled, maintaining professionalism and clinical judgment

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) title and clinical experience in emergency nursing (ER RN)
• Previous travel nurse experience strongly preferred
• Comfort and ability to work 12-hour night shifts and take scheduled 24-hour call shifts
• Meditech 6.0 experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt to a rural/critical access environment and work autonomously when needed

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficient documentation and charting practices, ideally in Meditech 6.0
• Skilled in medication administration and IV management
• Calm, decisive critical thinking under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork in interdisciplinary settings
• Familiarity with call coverage responsibilities and handoff best practices
