Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Take and report vital signs and observe changes in patient condition
- Keep accurate and timely documentation of care and patient interactions
- Support nursing staff with treatments, patient transfers, and safety protocols
- Create a welcoming environment and promote patient dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
- Comfortable working 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM schedule and partnering with a care team
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings as per facility policy
- Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but caring attitude and reliability matter most
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
- Basic infection control and standard precautions
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear documentation and communication with nursing staff
- Teamwork, time management, and a calm approach in busy moments
