Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents of Windward Gardens
• Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans with accuracy
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care in the patient record
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support them through care
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and infection control practices
• Support unit staffing needs by adapting to daily census and patient acuity changes

Qualifications

• Active, valid RN or LPN license (appropriate to role) required
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred; travel nursing experience a plus
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and provide consistent coverage across scheduled days
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or as required by facility
• Reliable, professional, and able to integrate quickly into the existing care team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma, ADN, or BSN depending on role)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Skilled in wound care, IV care, and chronic disease management as applicable
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and charting
