Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents of Windward Gardens
- Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans with accuracy
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care in the patient record
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support them through care
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and infection control practices
- Support unit staffing needs by adapting to daily census and patient acuity changes
Qualifications
- Active, valid RN or LPN license (appropriate to role) required
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred; travel nursing experience a plus
- Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and provide consistent coverage across scheduled days
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or as required by facility
- Reliable, professional, and able to integrate quickly into the existing care team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma, ADN, or BSN depending on role)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Skilled in wound care, IV care, and chronic disease management as applicable
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and charting
