Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately to prioritize life-saving care
• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a wide variety of acute conditions
• Perform trauma assessments and interventions using evidence-based practice
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the ED team to coordinate care
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Vermont RN license or Compact license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) and TNCC — all certifications must be active and in hand
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Travel nurse experience preferred (minimum 3 months preferred)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Perm address and any requested time off (RTO) must be included in your profile at submission

Education

• Registered Nurse licensure required (Vermont or Compact)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

• Strong trauma nursing skills and emergency assessment expertise
• Proficiency in cardiac life support and rapid cardiac assessment
• Excellent triage and prioritization under pressure
• Skilled clinical decision-making and rapid interventions
• Clear communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Accurate, timely documentation and adherence to policies
