Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and validate clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently to support patient care
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Document results and workflows in Cerner and other hospital systems with attention to detail
• Follow quality control, safety and compliance protocols to maintain high standards
• Communicate critical results and collaborate with nursing and physician teams to impact patient outcomes
• Participate in orientation (12 hours) and ongoing training to stay current with best practices
• Assist with specimen handling, accessioning and timely reporting to ensure smooth lab operations

Qualifications

• Active state Clinical Laboratory Scientist license (License to Submit: Yes)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Experience using Cerner (charting system) preferred
• Ability to complete required orientation (12 hours)
• BLS: not required for this role

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of clinical laboratory testing and procedures
• Familiarity with laboratory quality control and safety standards
• Experience with electronic charting systems (Cerner)
• Strong specimen handling, troubleshooting and instrumentation skills
• Comfort working in an acute care hospital laboratory (Allied division)
