Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating schedule that includes weekends (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period or every other weekend depending on unit) and holiday coverage (must work 2 of 3 major holidays)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Titrate cardiac drips safely and accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Interpret EKGs and recognize dysrhythmias to guide timely interventions
• Provide high-quality nursing care across Telemetry and MedSurg units as part of the float pool
• Manage post-op cardiac and CABG patients, including medication titration and monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, RTs, pharmacy and PCTs to coordinate patient care
• Use Cerner for accurate documentation and effective communication of patient status
• Participate in unit-based orientation and simulation lab learning on day one
• Adapt to rapid changes in patient acuity and float between campuses/units as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state licensure or compact eligibility required)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience (Telemetry/MedSurg preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS required for Neuro shifts
• Proven ability to titrate cardiac drips and recognize dysrhythmias
• Must pass a pre-contract dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts max within 48 hours of offer) and a pass/fail Sim Lab on orientation day
• Comfortable floating between units (Telemetry, MedSurg, ICU, Cardiac Tele) and between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses
• Familiarity with centralized tele monitoring and working with PCTs/techs

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• BSN not required (per job posting)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and central tele station workflows
• EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Cardiac drip titration (Dobutamine, Heparin, Amio, Cardene, Nitro — titrate down only where specified)
• MedSurg and post-op cardiac/CABG patient care
• Neuro nursing basics including NIHSS and post-TPA care
• Cerner charting and documentation best practices
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization and teamwork in a fast-paced acute setting
• Flexible floater mindset — adapt quickly to new units and patient populations
