Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures such as SPECT, PET and myocardial imaging with accuracy and compassion
• Administer pharmacologic stress testing and monitor patients for safety during cardiac studies
• Obtain venous blood samples and manage radiopharmaceutical handling according to protocols
• Operate and troubleshoot GE, Philips and Siemens imaging equipment
• Complete high-quality imaging for bone, brain, liver, renal and sestamibi parathyroid scans
• Document procedures and patient information in EPIC in a timely, accurate manner
• Maintain radiation safety and quality control measures to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent outpatient patient care

Qualifications

• CNMT, NMTCB or ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required prior to start
• ARRT Advanced certification and AMA radiologic technologist training required
• ACLS, ARRT N or ARRT R preferred but not mandatory
• New graduates are welcome; 1 year experience available but not required
• Pending state license accepted initially but must have license in hand within 4 weeks of submission
• Comfortable charting in EPIC and working in an outpatient nuclear medicine environment

Education

• Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program or equivalent training, plus required certifications (CNMT, NMTCB or ARRT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with SPECT and PET imaging and related protocols
• Experience with myocardial imaging and pharmacologic stress testing (e.g., Lexiscan)
• Competence in venipuncture and radiopharmaceutical administration
• Familiarity with GE, Philips and Siemens imaging systems
• Ability to perform bone, brain, liver, renal and sestamibi parathyroid scans
• Basic EKG knowledge for cardiac-related studies
• Strong patient communication, safety awareness and documentation skills
