Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ conditions and develop compassionate, individualized nursing plans under RN supervision
• Implement nursing care, administer medications accurately, and ensure continuity of care
• Supervise CNAs and support staff to maintain high-quality resident care and safety
• Document care thoroughly and professionally in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Participate in care planning and follow-through to support positive resident outcomes
• Maintain current BLS certification and adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license (required)
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience (required)
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Basic computer skills for documentation and care coordination
• Ability to pass the nursing medical test required by the client
• Comfort supervising CNAs and working collaboratively with an RN-led team

Education

• Vocational Nursing diploma or equivalent (LVN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Resident assessment and care planning in a long-term care setting
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and basic computer tasks
• Supervising and coaching CNAs and support staff
• BLS and basic emergency response knowledge
• Professional interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and agency reps
