Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a high-energy emergency setting
• Stabilize and treat acute illness and injury with calm, evidence-based care
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage emergency interventions safely
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient conditions and interventions clearly and promptly
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during stressful moments
• Support unit flow by prioritizing care, assisting admissions/discharges, and managing resources

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN License required prior to the start of the contract
• Registered Nurse (RN) with ER / Emergency Nursing experience
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and consecutive weekends as needed
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency department environment
• Clear communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing knowledge including triage principles and acute care management
• Proficient clinical assessment and critical thinking under pressure
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
• Accurate and timely documentation practices
