Shift Type: Variable days (may include weekdays and weekends), 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Day shift (10-hour shifts)

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert peri-procedural care for cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties and stent procedures
- Manage advanced devices and monitor patients on Impella support with confidence
- Support structural heart procedures such as ASD and VSD repairs and assist during TEEs and cardioversions
- Assist in EP studies and complex ablations, especially atrial fibrillation cases
- Perform and assist with procedures like thoracenteses, paracenteses and tunneled catheter placements
- Provide skilled pre- and post-procedure holding care and STEMI management for time-sensitive cases
- Operate and document care using Cerner EMR and safely use Phillips equipment
- Communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams and patients’ families to ensure excellent outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Michigan nursing license (required and must be active at time of submission)
- Previous Cath Lab experience (required)
- Strong cardiac proficiency and STEMI management experience (required)
- Holding experience for pre- and post-procedure care (required)
- ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Phillips equipment (preferred)
- Previous travel nurse experience (preferred)
Education
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) — active RN required
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac catheterization workflows and safety
- Angioplasty and stent care
- Impella device management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Structural heart procedures (ASD/VSD) and TEE support
- EP studies, complex ablations and pacer/ICD management
- Procedural skills: thoracenteses, paracenteses, tunneled cath placements
- STEMI triage and urgent intervention coordination
- Proficient documentation in Cerner EMR
- Comfortable working with Phillips monitoring and imaging equipment
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload (unit reports 20-30 cases/day) while keeping patient safety front and center
