Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations using GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice scanners
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain strict radiation safety practices for patients and staff
• Provide compassionate patient care including positioning, education, and monitoring during procedures
• Accurately document examinations in EPIC and manage images in McKesson PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support acute and trauma imaging
• Float to and cover related areas as needed including X-ray, OR, Endoscopy, and Emergency Department
• Participate in unit orientation and support on-call coverage with professional responsiveness

Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of imaging experience, CT or X-ray preferred
• Demonstrated experience on GE VCT 64-slice and GE Revolution 128-slice CT scanners required
• Comfortable using EPIC and McKesson PACS for charting and image management
• Valid driver’s license at time of submittal and able to meet a 50-mile radius requirement (candidates may not be FT/PT/PRN with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity affiliates)
• Willingness to comply with facility policies (for example, artificial nails are prohibited in patient care departments)
• Able to meet required time-off requests process (RTO) upfront as specified for the 13-week assignment

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program preferred
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, patient positioning, and contrast administration basics
• Radiation safety principles and infection control best practices
• Familiarity with acute care and trauma imaging workflows
• Proficient with EPIC electronic charting and McKesson PACS image management
• Ability to multitask, remain flexible, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Good verbal communication and teamwork skills for collaborating across departments
