Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for high-risk mothers and newborns across the region
• Manage patients in a 25-bed Labor & Delivery unit, handling complex obstetric cases
• Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, perinatal nurse practitioners, and nursing teams to coordinate care
• Oversee and coordinate regional transports and complex case management when needed
• Actively participate in a multidisciplinary team focused on patient safety, quality improvement, and excellent outcomes
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBGYN/OB-Hospitalist experience preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in Labor & Delivery, high-risk obstetrics, and perinatal care
• Comfort managing complex cases and participating in regional transports
• Willingness to work 12-hour and 24-hour shift patterns (flexible coverage)
• Residency within the immediate local area is required
• Not accepting locum tenens or visa candidates for this opening

Education

• MD or DO (or equivalent medical degree) with completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of high-risk obstetrics and perinatal care
• Skilled in labor & delivery management and acute obstetric decision-making
• Experience collaborating with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and perinatal nurse practitioners
• Ability to manage complex case coordination and regional transport logistics
• Clear communication, teamwork, and patient-centered bedside manner
