Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day & Night): Days 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM; Nights 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Typically 3 shifts/week (12-hour shifts), every other weekend (or 4 weekend shifts per month) and holiday rotation. Lead on duty each shift. Assigned to a consistent area per day (no floating to outpatient).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment — operate Servo I, Jets, Oscillators and other vents confidently
- Run and titrate BiPAP V60 and CPAP therapy to support patient breathing
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results to guide treatment
- Assist with bronchoscopies as part of the procedural team
- Respond to Clinical Response Team calls alongside the Lead and provide rapid, high-acuity support
- Provide direct respiratory care for adult (and NICU when assigned) patients in an acute, high-acuity setting
- Document accurately and efficiently in Cerner to maintain clear, up-to-date patient records
- Serve as Lead on duty when assigned — mentor colleagues and coordinate shift responsibilities
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC required
- Arizona RT license in hand required (must have license to work in AZ)
- Minimum 2 years of strong ICU respiratory experience required (posting also lists 3 years overall respiratory experience)
- BLS required; NRP required for Adults+NICU assignments; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency with ventilator management (Servo I, Jets, Oscillators) and noninvasive ventilation (BiPAP V60, CPAP)
- Experience assisting with bronchoscopies and performing ABG analysis
- Cerner electronic charting experience required
- Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills; comfortable in very high-acuity environments
Education
- RRT credential (NBRC) required
- Arizona RT license required
- No specific college degree required (BSN not required for this role); clinical credentialing and certifications are essential
