Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general X-ray exams in the OR, outpatient settings and on portable units
- Operate OR/C-arm equipment safely and confidently for intraoperative imaging
- Manage 20–30 imaging studies per day while maintaining accuracy and patient safety
- Document exams and results using Epic and PACS promptly and professionally
- Operate Siemens rooms and Shimadzu/Carestream portables with technical proficiency
- Provide compassionate patient care, including positioning, radiation safety and clear communication
- Float to the Pain Clinic when needed and collaborate closely with radiologists and the care team
- Participate in department orientation and follow hospital policies and infection-control practices
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist — ARRT (R) required
- BLS (AHA) current certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiography experience (on-the-job experience required)
- MUST have OR/C-arm experience — this is non-negotiable
- Comfortable performing portables and outpatient exams
- Able to be in-state for week of orientation; driver's license must be submitted
Education
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) — required
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Epic and PACS documentation and workflow
- Experienced with Siemens room systems and Shimadzu/Carestream portable units
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient positioning
- Skilled in intraoperative imaging (OR/C-arm) and portable radiography
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Attention to detail while managing high daily volumes
