Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs, behaviors, and any changes in condition
- Support the nursing team by reporting concerns and participating in care planning
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with resident care and ADLs
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety practices
- Accurate charting and documentation skills
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions from nursing staff and supervisors
