Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts; Day 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, Evening 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Night 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM. Schedule varies by facility and may include weekends.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate personal care and assistance to residents
- Take and accurately record vital signs and other clinical observations
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and feeding
- Implement infection control and universal precaution measures consistently
- Support restorative care routines, including use of assistive devices and range of motion activities
- Document care, report changes in condition, and communicate clearly with the treatment team
- Respect and protect patient rights, privacy and dignity at all times
- Remain calm and emotionally stable under pressure while supporting residents with diverse needs
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers must be obtained within six months of employment
- Minimum 6 months experience in a long-term care (LTC) facility required
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand simple sentences in English
- Physical ability to perform essential duties of the role
- Patient, tactful, and able to work well with residents and the care team
- Previous work experience in Hawaii is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Taking vital signs and measuring output
- Infection control and universal precautions
- Activities of daily living (ADLs) support
- Restorative care and use of assistive devices
- First aid and basic medical/nursing terminology
- Accurate documentation and reporting
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Oral and written communication and cultural competency
- Body mechanics, range of motion techniques, and patient rights
- Emotional stability and ability to handle challenging behaviors
