Shift Type: Rotating shifts; Day 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, Evening 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Night 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM. Schedule varies by facility and may include weekends.

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate personal care and assistance to residents
• Take and accurately record vital signs and other clinical observations
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and feeding
• Implement infection control and universal precaution measures consistently
• Support restorative care routines, including use of assistive devices and range of motion activities
• Document care, report changes in condition, and communicate clearly with the treatment team
• Respect and protect patient rights, privacy and dignity at all times
• Remain calm and emotionally stable under pressure while supporting residents with diverse needs

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers must be obtained within six months of employment
• Minimum 6 months experience in a long-term care (LTC) facility required
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand simple sentences in English
• Physical ability to perform essential duties of the role
• Patient, tactful, and able to work well with residents and the care team
• Previous work experience in Hawaii is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Taking vital signs and measuring output

• First aid and basic medical/nursing terminology
• Accurate documentation and reporting
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
