Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering and modifying skilled treatment plans across the lifespan
- Implement therapeutic exercise and balance training to help patients regain independence
- Safely transfer and move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area
- Educate patients and families on effective at-home techniques to extend progress beyond the clinic
- Use modalities and ACP equipment as appropriate to enhance rehabilitation outcomes
- Maintain organized documentation, scheduling, and clinic cleanliness to ensure seamless care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate, individualized care
Qualifications
- Active PTA license (Missouri state license required; compact allowed)
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience (Required)
- Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehab settings (Required)
- BLS certification (Required)
- Comfort working with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses
- Self-motivated, patient-centered mindset with strong communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and safe patient transfers
- Therapeutic exercise prescription and progression
- Balance training and mobility interventions
- Documentation and scheduling best practices
- Use of modalities and ACP equipment
- Effective patient and family education and communication
- Ability to work collaboratively with PTs and the interdisciplinary team
