Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for a diverse resident population
- Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
- Document clinical findings and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
- Monitor patient status and escalate changes promptly to the care team
- Promote a safe, clean environment and follow infection prevention best practices
- Support and mentor fellow staff to maintain high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN or LPN license (as applicable) — travel licenses or multistate compact licensure welcomed
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or other specialty certs a plus
- Prior clinical nursing experience preferred; travel nursing experience is a strong plus
- Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts reliably and maintain strong clinical judgment
- Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN for RNs; approved LPN program for LPNs). BSN preferred when applicable.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting in electronic systems
- Skilled in wound care, infection control, and resident safety practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
