Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with daily living activities that make a real difference
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs and resident status to support clinical decision-making
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices
- Document care activities thoroughly and promptly to keep resident records up to date
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Comfortable and reliable for the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you treat residents like people, not tasks
- Ability to follow care plans, adhere to safety protocols, and document accurately
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Basic vital signs assessment and reporting
- Infection control and safe patient handling principles
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and teammates
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care environment
