Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts/week), 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM; plus one night of on-call per week; one weekend per month (Saturday & Sunday, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM). Call response time: 20 minutes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across orthopedic, neuro, general, urology, GYN, and vascular/endovascular cases
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, surgical instruments, and robot Xi equipment with precision
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the OR team to ensure smooth, timely procedures
• Perform thorough pre-op and post-op assessments and document care accurately in the patient record
• Respond to call as required (20-minute response expectation) and provide reliable weekend coverage when scheduled
• Champion patient safety and excellent outcomes through vigilance, clear communication, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (provide LARA & Nursys verification)
• Minimum 2+ years of perioperative/OR nursing experience — ortho, neuro, general, Robot Xi, urology, GYN, and endovascular/vascular required
• ENT experience preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Completed perioperative skills checklist within the last year (required for RN specialties)
• Ability to meet call response time expectations and commit to scheduled weekend coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative and OR nursing skills including sterile technique and instrument handling
• Hands-on experience with Robot Xi and advanced surgical equipment
• Comfortable across multiple specialties: ortho, neuro, general, urology, GYN, endovascular/vascular
• Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity surgical cases and adapt to case mix
• Clear communicator who collaborates well with multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable time management and the ability to respond to call quickly (20-minute response)
