Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions and assist patients with individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to implement and adjust care based on patient progress
- Document patient evaluations, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safety strategies to maximize recovery
- Monitor patient response and communicate changes promptly to the clinical team
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment that promotes dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Hampshire or eligible for state licensure
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working with a diverse rehab population and varying levels of mobility
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with reliable documentation practices
- Professional, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to patient-centered care
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Completion of PTA clinical requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitative exercises
- Skilled in patient transfers, gait training, and mobility assistance
- Proficient with clinical documentation and basic electronic medical records
- Ability to instruct patients and caregivers in home exercise programs
- Good clinical observation skills and the ability to report changes effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
