Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, Maryland
Shift Type: Days to be confirmed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Evening
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
- Follow infection control standards and facility policies to ensure resident safety
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort working with geriatric populations and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Previous long-term care or nursing assistant experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and ADL assistance
- Strong observational skills and ability to communicate changes clearly
- Basic documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting
- Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans and nursing direction
- Time management skills to prioritize resident needs during your shift
