Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition
- Communicate clearly with nursing staff and families to support care planning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care activities accurately and promptly
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Experience or comfort working with older adults and long term care settings preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered caregiving with an emphasis on dignity and respect
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
- Clear communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Reliable time management and attention to documentation details
