Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to elderly residents
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
- Observe residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and courteously in resident records
- Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver dignified, person-centered care
Qualifications
- GNA certification/class (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current state GNA or nursing assistant credential as applicable
- Comfortable working a day shift schedule (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor
- Ability to pass required background check and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic resident care and ADL assistance
- Familiarity with infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Ability to recognize and report changes in condition
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Teamwork, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
