Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Support safe mobility and transfers to help residents maintain independence
• Assist with meal service and ensure dietary needs are respected
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Take and record basic vital signs and other routine measurements accurately
• Document care delivered clearly and courteously in resident records
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Able to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift reliably
• Current TB test and required immunizations per facility policy
• Clear background check and ability to pass facility onboarding
• A kind, patient attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care for older adults
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
• Strong observational skills and ability to report changes accurately
• Team-oriented mindset and good interpersonal skills with residents and coworkers
• Time management to balance resident needs and documentation
