Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Shift Type: Night, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (specific days to be confirmed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Support mobility, bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding while preserving dignity
- Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and thoroughly to keep the care team informed
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required
- State registration or eligibility to practice in Maryland
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Compassionate bedside manner and solid communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and resident-centered practices
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Ability to take and report vital signs and observe changes in condition
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail
- Teamwork, time management, and a patient-focused attitude
