Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not specified)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document resident condition including vital signs and changes in status
- Support safe mobility and transfers while following proper body mechanics
- Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow care plans accurately
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment for residents
- Report concerns and collaborate to improve resident comfort and outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification or state equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and providing hands-on resident care
- Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful attitude
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living and elder care best practices
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Basic infection control and hand hygiene practices
- Good observation skills and timely reporting of changes
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
- Familiarity with charting and following care plans
